Most compromised sites were simply out of date. A weekly ten-minute routine closes the door.
Start with the numbers
Before changing anything, write down where you are today: load time on a mid-range phone, enquiries per month and the pages people actually visit. Without a baseline you cannot tell what worked.
- Mobile load time
- Before: 4.2 After: 1.9s
- Enquiries / month
- Before: 18 After: 37
Fix the biggest problem first
Tools list dozens of warnings. Ignore most of them and fix the one thing that costs the most: usually images, a heavy page builder or a slow host.
- Measure on a real phone, not only in a lab
- Change one thing at a time
- Re-measure after every change
Keep it fast
Speed is not a one-off project. Add a monthly check to your routine and set a budget for page weight so new features do not undo the work.
